xeriscaping
As most of you know, there is a water shortage in Cambria. Cambria Community Services District says on their website "Water conservation is a way of life for drought-sensitive Cambria. The town's current moratorium and intermittent water surcharges have motivated residents to employ stringent water conservation measures."
Cambria has adapted to the water shortage with "water-wise" xeriscape landscapes that are beautiful to behold, and complimentary to the fine architecture, without looking parched and barren, like so many "zero-scapes" of crushed rock, cactus, and cattle skulls.
Since water is vital to life, and becoming more precious, it is wise to conserve water used in landscaping, and save it for higher priority uses, to the extent possible. So this page is dedicated to promoting the principles of water conservation, and good xeriscape design - attractive and responsible landscaping.
